System green

Guides your way

The newest member of the ENDOCAM® Logic family, System green, enables simultaneous real-time ICG/NIR fluorescence and standard white light imaging with the ENDOCAM® Logic HD and 4K camera platforms,* making it ideal for both new and existing customers as it expands the application and visualization capabilities of Richard Wolf’s OR platform.

ICG/NIR fluorescence imaging has become a valuable technology in the field of minimally invasive surgery for applications including:

  • Visual assessment of vessels, blood flow and related tissue perfusion
  • Visualization of biliary ducts and, when indicated, intraoperative cholangiography
  • Visualization of the lymphatic system, including lymphatic vessels and lymph nodes

System green features a sophisticated design that has been optimized down to the smallest detail, thus providing excellent image quality and ease of use—all in one efficient, versatile and top-class system.

*ICG/NIR functionality is accessible on ENDOCAM Logic camera controllers (5525106 and 5525301) with software version 2.0.9 or higher in addition to fluorescence capable components, ENDOCAM Logic Camera Head green (85525812), ENDOLIGHT LEDgreen Light Source (5165002), Fusion Fiber Light Cable (806550301) and a PANOVIEW ULTRA Telescope (89344xx – 305 mm working length or 893444xx – 440 mm working length)

Alternate between ICG/NIR and white light endoscopy while maintaining brilliance in image quality.

Richard Wolf offers two fluorescence modes, in addition to white light, which can be selected by the user at the touch of a button for customized and differentiated visualization during the procedure.

White Light Mode

System green enables standard white light endoscopy with high-resolution image quality; therefore, permitting the complete, versatile utilization of the system.

greenICG Fluorescence Mode

greenICG Fluorescence mode combines the conventional white light endoscopic image with a green overlay ICG/NIR fluorescence image allowing the tissue to be differentiated with a high level of detail and contrast.

greenICG pure Fluorescence Mode

greenICG pure Fluorescence mode combines a grayscale image with a green overlay fluorescence image enabling high contrast visualization, differentiation of tissue structures and detailed examination of key structures (e.g., mapping and identification of lymph nodes and lymphatic channel drainage).

ICG/NIR Fluorescence Imaging Defined

Fluorescence is the emission of light by a substance that has absorbed light or other electromagnetic radiation. The light emitted is known as fluorescence light. The technique used for fluorescence guided surgery is based on the interaction of light of a suitable wavelength with a specific substance which is administered into the patient’s body. The fluorescent light emitted by this substance generates light and brightness contrasts that can be visualized through endoscopic imaging in order to optimize visibility and more easily identify relevant anatomy.

A medical dye, Indocyanine Green (ICG), is administered into the patient’s body prior to surgery. The dye absorbs the near-infrared light and emits fluorescent light. In order to visualize this light, special endoscopes, light sources and cameras are required.

The absorption spectrum of ICG is located in the near-infrared range. ICG absorbs the light in the range of 600 nm to 900 nm and emits the fluorescence between 800 nm up to 850 nm. Thus, System green allows visualization and detection of the fluorescence intraoperatively.
